Prismana in Aniimo: how they work and where to find them

Prismana Flow is a weather state, but each Prismana species has a fixed zone. Regions, trigger, eggs, Prismana Orb: every way to get one in Aniimo.

Updated 17 September 2026 · Prismana · Prismana Flow · forms · weather · capture

The short answer: it's both. The trigger is a special weather state, the Prismana Flow, which shows up at random (or which you force with a Prismana Crystal); on the other hand, the species that appears in Prismana form and the region where it appears are predefined. A Prismana Scorchhowl will never show up anywhere other than Beast Fang Ridge, no matter how long you play. And if you don't feel like waiting for the right weather, the game offers several guaranteed routes: the pre-registration gift, Bohr's Prismana Promise at level 40, Prismana eggs, the Prismana Orb and breeding.

Prismana in one minute

What is it?An alternate form

A Prismana Aniimo is the same Aniimo with a different palette and, often, different elements and a different combat role.

Trigger"Prismana Flow" weather

A weather state just like rain, storm or snow; it arrives on its own or can be forced with a Prismana Crystal.

ZonesPredefined

19 species/region pairs are recorded in our data: there is no such thing as a Prismana "anywhere".

Guaranteed routes5

Pre-registration, Prismana Promise (lvl 40), Prismana eggs, Prismana Orb, breeding with a Prismana Stone.

CaptureAniipod Ultra recommended

Guaranteed catch with Potential at least Elite: this is the item to save for Prismana.

The Prismana Flow: a weather state, not a total lottery

In the site's data, "prismana" sits in the same list as rain, storm and snow: it is a regional weather state. While it is active, certain Aniimo in the region spawn directly in prismana-form instead of their base form, exactly the way a Pomegg spawns in Snowfield form when it snows in Rosetower Woods.

What this means:

  • The timing is random, unless you use a Prismana Crystal, a rarity-5 item that "immediately triggers a Prismana Flow event" when absorbed. It is your only direct lever on the weather.
  • The place and the species are not. A Flow in Blitzwood brings out Prismana Blazen, and nothing else in Prismana form.
  • The natural frequency and duration of a Flow were not recorded during the beta: don't count on a precise figure, and keep your Prismana Crystal for the region you actually care about.
  1. 1
    Pick your target region

Check the table below to see which Prismana species appears in which region, and the level of the wild Aniimo there.

  2. 2
Wait for the Flow or force it

Open the map and keep an eye on the zone's weather; if you have a Prismana Crystal, absorb it on site to start the Flow right away.

  3. 3
Look for the colour, not the name

Prismana share their species' entry; it's their prismatic appearance that gives them away in the field.

  4. 4
    Catch with a guaranteed Aniipod

Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube: guaranteed catch and Potential at least Elite. A basic Aniipod on a Prismana is a needless risk.

  5. 5
    Evolve if needed

If you catch stage 1 (Prismana Iris), evolution keeps the form: you get Prismana Irisal.

Where each wild Prismana appears

Here are the 19 Prismana appearances recorded in our weather data. The level shown is that of the region's wild Aniimo: it's also the order in which you'll come across them as you progress.

Two useful remarks. First, Nimbus Fields, the starting zone, already has two Prismana (Stellarys and Turbo): you can run into one within your first few hours. Second, the most profitable regions are Beast Fang Ridge (3 species, including two SS from the tier list: Scorchhowl and Glynsera) and Berylline Causeway (3 species, including Ignitis, SS in Dark): that's where a Prismana Crystal is most likely to pay off.

The guaranteed routes, without relying on the weather

If you want a specific Prismana without camping a region, four other sources exist at launch.

1. The pre-registration gift. Six Prismana are given away at launch; we compare them in Which pre-registration Prismana should you pick?.

2. Bohr's Prismana Promise at level 40. One Prismana of your choice out of fourteen: details and ranking in Which Prismana should you pick at level 40?, and the route to get there fast in Level 40 fast.

3. Prismana eggs. The rarity-6 eggs named "Prismana X Egg" (Scorchhowl, Stellarys, Glacy, Grizbo, Ignitis, Blazen, Cornet, Luminelle, Magmarex, Panpanta, Pawney, Sherro, Thornblade, Turbo, Witchin, Glynsera, Fentuft, Fulmintis) hatch into Prismana in the Outpost Hatchinators. The Egg of Prayers is "guaranteed" to hatch the featured Prismana, and the Mysterious Prismana Egg an unspecified Prismana. The Faded Prismana Egg (rarity 4) releases residual Prismana energy: the exact result was not observed in the beta.

4. The Prismana Orb. A rarity-5 item that changes "an Aniimo from Breezy Plains" into its Prismana form. Its description mentions a prerequisite that is truncated in our data: to be confirmed in game. Careful, the Morph Orb is no use here: it allows every form except Prismana.

5. Breeding. A Prismana Stone guarantees 100% inheritance of the designated parent's Prismana form. In other words, a single well-chosen Prismana can produce more. The Prismana Mark, offered during Nurture, increases the chance of attracting Prismana Aniimo.

The Prismana that don't appear in the wild

Seven Aniimo have a prismana-form on their entry but no wild Prismana appearance is recorded for them: Inferlupa, Melloblum, Waleetle, Fenmane, Infergon, Fulmintis and Little Fire Spirit. For them, go through the Prismana Promise, an egg, the Prismana Orb or breeding. That matters all the more because they sit at the top of the tier list: Prismana Inferlupa is SS in Dark and Carry, Prismana Waleetle SS in Rock, Prismana Fenmane and Fulmintis SS in Electric.

Conversely, Prismana obtained by any means other than capture are no different from those caught during a Flow: same form, same elements. For what each form actually brings (elements, role), the guide Which Prismana should you pick at level 40? covers the fourteen main ones.

Don't waste your Prismana Crystal in a zone with a single Prismana if you're casting a wide net. Beast Fang Ridge and Berylline Causeway each offer three species under a single Flow. And always keep an Aniipod Ultra in your pocket before triggering it: a missed Prismana is a lost crystal.

FAQ

Do Prismana appear completely at random?

No. The timing of the Prismana Flow is random (or forced by a Prismana Crystal), but the species and region are fixed: 19 pairs are recorded, from Nimbus Fields to Crescent Bay.

Can you see a Prismana right at the start of the game?

Yes: Prismana Stellarys and Turbo are observed in Nimbus Fields (level 5-15) during a Prismana Flow. You can also receive one right at launch through pre-registration.

Does a Prismana caught at stage 1 keep its form when it evolves?

Yes, the form is kept: Prismana Iris becomes Prismana Irisal, Snowfield Pomegg becomes Snowfield Pomawk.

Can the Morph Orb give you a Prismana form?

No, its description explicitly excludes the Prismana form. You need the Prismana Orb, a Prismana egg, the Prismana Promise or breeding with a Prismana Stone.

How long does a Prismana Flow last?

Not observed in the beta. We will update this page as soon as the duration and natural frequency are measured after September 16.
