Which Prismana should you pick at level 40? The "Prismana Promise" event

At level 40, Bohr's Prismana Promise gives you a free Prismana Aniimo. Where to sign up, how to change your pick, and our ranking by what your team lacks.

Updated 16 September 2026 · Prismana · level 40 · Prismana Promise · Bohr · tier list

At level 40, Bohr's Prismana Promise lets you choose one free Prismana Aniimo from a list. Short answer: if you want a DPS, take Grizbo or Thornblade (SS in the overall ranking and in damage); if you want to punish broken bosses, Pawney; if your team lacks a support, Luminelle; a guard breaker, Panpanta; an energy generator, Witchin. Good news confirmed since launch: the choice is not final, you can change it from your phone. The rest of this guide explains where to sign up, then ranks the candidates with the numbers to back it up.

Transparency: our data lists 18 "Prismana … Egg" items, and the exact list offered by Bohr is not detailed in our sources. Supersoluce highlights six of them (Witchin, Grizbo, Scorchhowl, Turbo, Thornblade, Pawney), all of which appear in our ranking below. Spot the ones that show up in your selection and apply the priority order. If you're looking for the six pre-registration Prismana instead, head to Which pre-registration Prismana should you pick?.

Where to find Bohr and sign up for the Prismana Promise

The event is the one our launch calendar calls Prismana Promise. You sign up during your very first steps in the Polaris Institute, and it's an optional objective of the "Institute Initiation" quest: if you followed Nicole without dealing with it, nothing is lost.

  1. 1
    Find Bohr

He stands in the hall of the Polaris Institute, to the right of the walkway. No side quest to finish before talking to him.

  2. 2
    Accept the program

Talk to him and accept the "Prismana Promise" sign-up. That's it: the reward unlocks when you reach level 40.

  3. 3
    Choose your Aniimo

At level 40, the list opens and you can only keep one. Hatch the egg in an Outpost Hatchinator.

  4. 4
    Change your mind if needed

Phone > "Events" menu: you return to the selection list without going back to see Bohr.

What a Prismana Form really changes

Supersoluce confirms it and so does our data: the Prismana Form does not change base stats. A Prismana Pawney keeps its 505 total points (90 HP / 125 ATK / 55 M.ATK / 84 DEF / 70 M.DEF / 81 REGEN). What changes is the elemental affinity: Prismana forms show up in the "Affinity Holy" ranking (Glacy, Glynsera, Sherro, Fenmane and Luminelle at S), and several climb to SS elsewhere, like Witchin, Thornblade, Ignitis, Blazen, Fenmane, Luminelle and Fulmintis in Artisanship.

So the right question isn't "which Prismana looks best", but "which stage 3 Aniimo am I missing?". Three things to keep in mind:

  • You get a stage 3 directly, with no evolution stones or elemental shards (see How to evolve your Aniimo properly). That's already a big saving.
  • At level 40, you're exploring Rosetower Woods (39-43), Russet Highlands (39-45) and Driftwise Meadow (38-42). Some candidates can be caught there in their regular version: less urgent to "spend" the egg on them.
  • A Prismana Orb converts a Breezy Plains Aniimo into its Prismana Form (with prerequisites), and Prismana weather makes wild Prismana forms appear. The egg is therefore not your only access, as Supersoluce points out: all these Aniimo can be obtained by playing.

The ranking by role

Here are the candidates sorted by role, with their rank in the site's tier list.

DPS #1Grizbo

SS overall and SS damage, 124 ATK and the sturdiest of the lot (104 HP / 83 DEF) thanks to Raging Rampage.

DPS #2Thornblade

SS overall and SS damage, 121 ATK, Sword Dance up to +180% on basic attacks.

DPS #3Scorchhowl

SS overall and SS damage, 119 ATK, S in Run fast; easy to play in a Fire team.

DPS #4Pawney

SS overall, S damage, 125 ATK (the highest of Supersoluce's six), Pursuit +30% on controlled or BREAK-state targets.

BreakPanpanta

SS in Break, 545 total, 106 M.DEF; Magmarex (539 total) and Blazen (530) outside the top 8 but pillars of computed teams.

SupportLuminelle

SS in Support, 115 ATK for a support; Turbo is SS in Fly for exploration.

EnergyWitchin

SS in Energy generation, 542 total and 115 REGEN, the best on the list.

HealGlacy

S in Heal, 120 HP / 110 M.DEF; Glameep (550 total) does not appear in our Heal top.

The DPS: Grizbo, Thornblade, Scorchhowl, Pawney, Ignitis, Cornet

Six candidates are SS in the overall ranking: you can't really go wrong. Look instead at what your team can already do.

AniimoHPATKBREAKP.DEFM.DEFREGENTotal
Grizbo 10412450837075506
Thornblade 9612153747392509
Scorchhowl 9511952807590511
Pawney 9012555847081505
  • Grizbo (Rock): Supersoluce describes it as a "raw damage" profile that thrives in long fights, and our data agrees. The Rage gauge (2 points per basic attack, 10 per 10 EP spent, 2 per hit taken) triggers the Enraged state at 100 points: +30% attack speed and skill damage for 20s. With 104 HP and 83 DEF, it's the most durable DPS. Bonus: S in Carry and Break obstacles. Its base form can be caught in Rosetower Woods (39-43), right at your level.
  • Thornblade (Grass): more demanding according to Supersoluce, and it's true you have to alternate. Each skill builds one stack of Sword Dance (up to 4), and each basic attack consumes one to deal +180%. It is also SS in Artisanship as a Prismana. Its base form can be caught in Sea of Flowers (19-28), and its Prismana form appears there under Prismana weather.
  • Scorchhowl (Fire): Supersoluce's "mono-element simplicity" pick. Scorching Flames adds +25% damage against targets weak to Fire, and it is S in Run fast, which fits the "mobility and dodging" image. It can be caught as early as Beast Fang Ridge (22-30), including as a Prismana under the right weather: the egg is less essential for it.
  • Pawney (Dark): Supersoluce credits it with "the highest attack" (125, correct among the six highlighted) and "the most effective break ability". A nuance: in our data, Pawney is classed as DPS, not break; its trait Pursuit (+30% damage on controlled or BREAK-state targets) makes it more of the best finisher behind a true breaker like Rookey or Wavwal, or behind Dreaple, which inflicts Nightmare. Its "fragile defense" also needs qualifying: 84 DEF is more than Grizbo. It is the only SS in Hookshot for exploration.
  • Ignitis (Dark): 125 ATK like Pawney, SS overall but absent from the damage top 8. Battle Fervor (+25% after each kill, stacking twice) makes it excellent against groups, less so against a single boss. SS in Cloak.
  • Cornet (Wind): SS overall, S damage, +20% crit while flying. Catchable in The Argent Strait (14-20) from the start: save the egg for something else.

Our DPS verdict: Grizbo if your healers are average, Thornblade if you want a self-sufficient killer, Pawney if you build around BREAK or control, Scorchhowl if you're putting together a Fire team.

The breakers: Panpanta, Magmarex, Blazen

If your team has no solid break role, invest here: a breaker amplifies all your DPS.

  • Panpanta (Water): SS in Break, 100 M.ATK and 106 M.DEF. Its trait Appeal (+30% BREAK efficiency with an opposite-sex Susuta family member) calls for a dedicated team; the site's computed team puts it with Sherro, Piopiota and Glacy.
  • Magmarex (Fire + Rock): 539 total, 104 M.ATK, and SS in Run fast, which also makes it your best mount. Its regular form only appears in Zephyrus Landbridge (45-48): at 40, the egg gives you a five-level head start.
  • Blazen (Electric): 104 M.ATK, Power Sustain cuts skill costs by 12 EP after 6 crits. Outside the Break top 8, but a pillar of the computed Electric team with Fulmintis, Luminelle and Besauce.

Our recommendation based on your team

Open your team and identify the four roles (break, dps, sup, sustain); the site offers template compositions at /en/teams. Then:

  1. You're missing a DPS: Grizbo or Thornblade, SS everywhere it matters. Pawney if you already have a breaker or a control.
  2. You're missing a breaker: Panpanta if you play Water, Magmarex otherwise (and you gain the best mount in the game).
  3. You're missing a support or energy: Luminelle to support, Witchin to generate EP, Glacy to heal.
  4. You already have everything: take the one you can't catch in a region at your level: Sherro, Glameep, Magmarex or Luminelle.
  5. You're still hesitating: pick, test, and change from the phone's Events menu. The choice isn't set in stone.

FAQ

Is the level 40 Prismana stronger than a caught Aniimo?

Not in base stats: Supersoluce and our data show the same total for the regular form and the Prismana form. The gain comes from affinities (Holy, Artisanship…) and from saving evolution materials.

Can you change your choice after making it?

Yes. Open your phone, "Events" menu, and you return to the selection list without going back to see Bohr.

I missed Bohr during the intro quest, is it lost?

No. He stays in the hall of the Polaris Institute, to the right of the walkway. Talk to him and accept the sign-up: the reward unlocks at level 40.

Pawney or Grizbo, which is better?

Grizbo is SS in damage, Pawney S; both are SS overall. Pawney hits slightly harder (125 ATK vs 124) but depends on a breaker or a control for its +30%. Grizbo stands on its own and tanks better (104 HP vs 90).

Can I get a Prismana Form without the egg?

Yes: catch the Aniimo under Prismana weather in its region (Pawney in Russet Highlands, Grizbo in Rosetower Woods, Scorchhowl in Beast Fang Ridge), or use a Prismana Orb on a Breezy Plains Aniimo.

Stats, traits, regions and weather appearances come from Aniipedia's Aniimo pages; the ranks (SS, S, A) are those of the site's computed tier list and template teams. The list of "Prismana … Egg" items comes from the site's item database. Bohr's location, the "Institute Initiation" quest, the Events menu and the six highlighted Aniimo come from the Supersoluce article "Aniimo : quel Aniimo prismana choisir avec Bohr ?" (Effy, 16 September 2026). The exact composition of the 12 eggs is not detailed in any of these sources: we will update this guide as soon as it is confirmed.
