Irisalis (Lumiris in the French version) is nowhere to be found in the wilds of Idyll: it is the reward of the legendary arc "Windward Departure", open until December 9. The recipe fits on one line: gather 99 Irisalis Petal, craft its Legendary Aniipod from chapter 2 onward (September 25), then defeat it in its Rift at recommended level 20. Here is where to find each petal, at what pace, and what awaits you once it is in your squad.
Why it is worth the 99 petals
On our calculated rankings, Irisalis is SS overall, SS in damage, SS in flying and SS in Grass affinity. With a 550 total and 130 ATK, it has the highest raw attack in the entire database, tied with Fulmintis, without being an evolution: it arrives directly at its final stage.

Its Bloom Cluster trait puts its clones to work for you: on every Whirling Blossom Rain or final basic attack hit, each one fires a 15-Might beam at the target, and every beam that lands stacks 1 Dance Power. At 9 stacks, the next skill costs half as much EP. And if it falls in battle, it turns back into a flower and blooms again with restored vitality, once every 180s: a DPS that gets back up on its own.

Against the two other SS in the DPS ranking, it keeps a 9-point ATK lead over Thornblade (121) and 6 over Grizbo (124), with 108 REGEN versus 92 and 75. It does concede HP to Grizbo (102 versus 104) and has no regional or Prismana form: Irisalis is unique, and that is precisely what makes it different to customize (see Metamorphosis below).
The path in four steps
The arc unfolds in chapters. The first has been open since launch; the second unlocks crafting; the next two can be done in a single evening if you have the petals.
- 1Gather 99 Irisalis Petal
Chapter 1, "Trail of Butterfly Shadows", available since release. Story, quests, collection and weeklies feed the counter (details in the next section).
- 2Craft the "Irisalis" Legendary Aniipod
Chapter 2, "A Stroll with Irisalis", from September 25. 99 petals in one go. It is the only key to its Rift, and crafting it unlocks a 2-petal item in the Legendary Journey shop.
- 3Enter the Rift and beat it
"Rift Exploration: Irisalis", recommended level 20, with Fire, Wind or Dark Aniimo. Once the out-of-control Irisalis is brought down, you use the Legendary Aniipod to merge with it.
- 4Irisalis joins you
After the merge, the Rift closes for you permanently. Everything that follows is an optional bonus.
The key to the whole operation is a separate Aniipod that cannot be thrown at a regular wild creature: it only works in the Vein Crevices, on an out-of-control Legendary Aniimo.

One run only. After the merge, you can no longer return to Irisalis's Rift. Check your team and consumables before entering: a Vitality Capsule and a Vitality Essence in your pocket cost nothing.
Where to find Irisalis Petal
The petal is a currency of the legendary arc: it is spent only at the Crevice exploration shop, on items tied to Legendary Aniimo. In other words, every petal you pick up goes toward Irisalis or the December bonus, nothing else.
Petals fall into two families: one-time sources you empty once, and weekly sources that rotate until December 9. The exact number of petals per one-time source is not shown by the game; only the weeklies have a figure.

The reassuring math. Memory + stamps = 10 guaranteed petals per week. Between September 25 and December 9 there are around ten resets: the weeklies alone bring you close to 99, and the one-time sources do the rest. The Memory's 100 weekly Primegy represent less than half a day of regeneration (1 point every 6 minutes, cap 300).

The help screen "Irisalis Petal: collection" splits the field petals into two sets of four. The first is picked up in zones; the second requires visiting Omega bosses.

Keep in mind that field collection is not a prerequisite: points III to VIII sit well beyond the Rift's level 20. If you want Irisalis early, focus on the story, quests and weeklies, and come back for these petals for the December bonus. Everything is placed on the interactive map of Idyll. The December bonus: Windchaser Departure Aniipods
Chapter 3, "Gift of Blessing", opens December 1 (November 30, 20:00 UTC in Asia, December 1, 04:00 UTC in Europe, 08:00 UTC in North America). It is of no use for getting Irisalis itself: it lets you convert your surplus petals.
Update 1.1 brought it down from 50 to 49; the rules panel still shows 50 by mistake.
Ten Aniipods over the whole event, not ten per week.
The captured Aniimo is at least Perfect, always Sparkling, with the exclusive seasonal "Windward Departure" effect.
Crafting possible until the end of the legendary arc.
For all ten, you need 490 petals on top of Irisalis's 99. That is out of reach with the weeklies alone: each extra Aniipod is paid for with the one-time sources you have kept (field collection, Branch nodes, silver badges). Pick your targets first: a guaranteed Sparkling and Perfect capture is best saved for a high-level Aniimo you do not want to farm.
After the capture: Metamorphosis
Irisalis is the only Aniimo the game lets you fully redress. On top of its base appearance, "First Bloom Iris", four sets exist.
First set, the most accessible.
Dark variant, in keeping with its Prank side.
Nighttime set, maximum rarity.
Solar set, maximum rarity.
Two items in the database are used to change an Aniimo's appearance: Shimmering Reverie (full overhaul) and Glimmering Mirage (one part only). The 2-petal item unlocked in the Legendary Journey shop after crafting the Aniipod most likely corresponds to Glimmering Mirage; the drop rates of each set have not been observed on our side.
Never Sparkling. Irisalis is the only Aniimo whose Sparkling rate is zero. Do not spend a Sparkling Mark on it hoping for an exception: nothing suggests the item works in its case.
FAQ
Can I get Irisalis without chapter 2?
No. The "Irisalis" Legendary Aniipod is the only key to its Rift, and it can only be crafted from September 25. A Legendary Irisalis Egg exists in the game files, but no source was observed in the beta.
If I miss a week, is it lost?
The 10 weekly petals (Memory + stamps) cannot be made up, but the one-time sources remain available until December 9. With around ten resets, one missed week does not compromise the 99.
What level to enter the Rift?
The game recommends level 20 and suggests Fire, Wind or Dark Aniimo. To pick your attackers in those elements, check the [tier list](/en/tier-list).
Do Windchaser Departure Aniipods help capture Irisalis?
No. They capture any other Aniimo with guaranteed Perfect Potential and Sparkling. They are a bonus for your surplus petals, not a step.
Does Irisalis evolve?
No, it arrives at its final stage (stage 0 in our data, with no family) and has neither regional nor Prismana form. Its customization goes through Metamorphosis only.
